Will Young admits that his mother was not surprised a bit when he told her he was gay because she doubted the fact that he was a young boy.

Former Pop Idol winner's mother said her first clue came when a child as crooner Michael Bolton with mulleted Will 'passion' to become the star was in her room with posters.

He tells the panel on ITV1′s The Marriage Ref tonight: “I had his posters up, my mother went ‘gay’.

“I said, ‘but I love his hair’. ‘Double gay!’.”
